Stay Safe Online
E-Safety involves the Internet and any aspect of your activity online.
An e-Safety concern can involve:
- Content: being exposed to illegal, inappropriate or harmful material online
- Contact: experiencing harmful online interaction with others
- Conduct: personal online behaviour that increases the likelihood of, or causes, harm to yourself or others.
Cyberbullying is not tolerated in any form at Wallington County Grammar School. Incidences of cyberbullying and e-Safety concerns will be dealt with using the School Behaviour Policy.
All students are expected to behave in a manner which keeps both themselves and others safe online.
Regular events planned and delivered by the e-Safety Ambassadors include:
- Form time workshops and group discussions
- Assemblies
- Curriculum drop down days
- Peer mentoring
- e-Safety Awareness Week
What to do if you or a Friend has an e-Safety or Cyberbullying Concern
If you or a friend have experienced cyberbullying or have an e-Safety concern, try to stay calm. Do not delete any mobile phone, text message, email or screenshot evidence of the incident because this is important evidence. Remove yourself from the incident as quickly as possible and tell an adult what has happened straight away.
If you have an e-Safety or cyberbullying concern you can speak to an e-Safety Ambassador, your Form Tutor, Head of Year, Key Stage Leader or Mrs Jennings.
You can also report serious offences directly to the Police via CEOP .
